SIGNIFICANT changes made whilst filming and editing:

location of drain pipe in storyboard changed to pathway with fences as was too flooded to film there.

Scene removed of tribes man walking across river as was too flooded to cross.

Replaced a medium long shot of artist under bridge with a medium long shot of tribesman between fences

removed shot of man and tribes man in crowed place and replaced with long shot of them dancing

added quick paced shots of artist dancing

music video production diary

Above are screenshots of editing for my video.
the first shows how i put the logo in. I made it so the logos are overlay the footage of the artist so that the audience can make a connection between the logo and the artist. The first few shots are all establishing shots of characters and locations so that the viewer is familiar with them.

The second screenshot shows how i implemented a ken burns effect. This makes the shot seem less static and focus' the viewers attention. Also it shows me reversing the footage for that shot. I did this so all the people in the background walk backwards, this emphasises the idea of the tribesman being out of place and lost.

The finale screenshot shows me adding extra effects to this scene. This is the scene where the man becomes happy and embraces the tribesman culture so to emphasis this i added a 'dazzle' effect. This makes it so the light in the footage sparkles. Also i added particle effects to float across the screen. This was all to put further emphasise on the mans happiness and make the video more fun loving. 

website production diary

Above are the two pages for my website.

Home page: I want my website to have a very consistent colour scheme of blue green and pink this is to reinforce my artist brand and so users can associate those three colours with him as well as photos of the artist scatted around the page.
For the design of my website is implemented a zigzag feature this is the make it unique and modernise it. It also breaks it up into sections so it is easy for the user to follow.
As for the content on the website, i added small paragraph under the video giving a very brief synopsis and purpose, i added a behind the scenes so users can enjoy extra content, also there is links to the artists twitter and news about how to enter a raffle for the artist merchandise this all promotes interactivity between the audience and the website.
I also implemented gifs from the website giphy so website is more energetic and appeals to a fun loving audience.

About page: For the about page i inverted the colours of the background and logo to give a unique dynamic and cool aesthetic. On the about page is a small biography which focus' on the artists connection with music to keep it relevant. Also there is a message from the artist, the message it to promote diversity, this is to go along side the purpose of the video. I also implemented a link to a diversity charity this was the further reinforce interactivity and message of my video. It also includes photos of the artist with someone of different ethnicity holding up a poster also.
finally there is a gallery which includes multiple photos of artist and characters in settings from the video this helps the users make a clear connection between the website and the video.

improvements to make:

pace of editing is to slow at end of video, needs to be quicker to meet brief of 'fun-loving'.

shooting script

1.  In the beginning there will be an establishing shot the settings of where the artist is and of the artist themselves. Followed by quick close ups of the tribe. then introduction of the man looking sad and depressed. 2 This section will consist of both narrative shots of the man and lip syncing from the artist. There will be low angel shots of the artist and medium shots of the man. The man during this section will wake up in a suit on a sofa and there will be a close up of him shoddily doing his tie and then he’ll pour some cereal which is empty. There will be a shot of him reading the newspaper and on the back there will be an article about the tribe. Over the shoulder of him walking to the door and picking up his overdue bills End shot him slamming the door. 3 Close up of tribe person during build up to chorus. Costumes:

tribes person - African inspired top, tribe mask(from black panther).

This outfit is to drawn on the simulacrum of tribes people we see in media.
The mask is from the film black panther and is worn by the character 'kill monger'
I have chosen this mask as 'kill monger' is a villain and by having my character ware the mask i am attempting to go against this vileness portrayal and show that the tribes man is actually good.

stereotypical person - black suit and tie.

I have chosen this outfit because im attempting to create a binary opposite to the tribes person as one Is civilised and the other uncivilised
The suit is traditional work clothing and im attempting to portray him as just another sheep in the heard.

location 1 - River - I have chose this location of this river because it is the main place which the tribes person lives as it is in the wilderness it is to show contrast to the place the man lives (inside a house) this river will also be used to visually show a divide between the two characters as there will be a shot of each standing either side of the river.

(changed as river was to flooded, too flooded for scene where man go across river - changed to a less flooded river but removed scene)
      

location 2 - Forrest - The Forrest isn't a main location but it is the camp of the tribes man and shots shots of the man and the tribes man will walk through here to show how the man is getting further away from modern society.

location 3 - drain pipe - this location will feature the artist, the artist will sit ontop of the pipe and stand at the bottom, it can also be climed into. this location has significance as it shows the mergence of the environment and modern world. (NOTE: location changed to pathway with fences as was flooded)

location 4 - under bridge - location is under a large bridge with graffiti on the walls

location 5 - path - 

location 6 - crowded area -at shopping center, crowded place is to show how out of place the tribes person is.
